| 1) Special Occasion Car Hire Services
All of the Chauffer Driven Special Occasion Car Hire services are subject to the Terms and Conditions laid out below. A complete description of the Chauffer Driven Special Occasion Car Hire services and it's accompanying pricing is contained both on the Berkshire Classic Car Hire website and also in our Special Occasion Car Hire Information Pack.
2) Special Occasion Car Hire Bookings
Bookings can be made by credit card (Visa or MasterCard), debit card or by cheque with guarantee card. Bookings will be confirmed in writing on clearance of the payment. A non refundable deposit of 25% of the hire charge will be due at time of booking, with the balance of the hire charge payable 10 days before the hire start date.
3) Quotation and Provisional Booking
As per the customers request, Berkshire Classic Car Hire will produce a formal Special Occasion Hire quote and provisionally reserve the requested car (s) based on the customers requirements. The quotation and provisional booking is valid for 14 days from the quote date after which time, if not taken up by the customer, the quote and provisional booking will expire.
4) Advance Full Payment Discount Option
For customers who would prefer to settle the hire charge in full at time of booking, a 2.5% discount will be deducted from the total hire charge. This option applies to hire bookings made 30 days or greater before the hire date.
5) Booking Cancellation Charges
In the event of a booking being cancelled the following charges will apply.
10 or more days before the hire date: £25
Less than 10 days prior to hire date: No refund on car hire.
6) Hire Period
Our standard hire period is daily hire, from a minimum of 2.5 hours up to 4 hours per day. Time is calculated from the time the car leaves our garage in White Waltham until it's return to the garage. Additional hours after the 4 hour period are charged at £75.00 per hour. Additional days of hire can be catered for by arrangement. However as well as the additional daily hire charge, the drivers "per diem" and meals and lodging costs would also be incurred.
7) Car Choice Availability
In the event of a booked car being unavailable due to problems beyond our control, The Vendor will inform the Hirer and offer either an alternative car for the same date or an alternative date.
8) Personal Property
We are only responsible for loss or damage to personal property left in the vehicle if the loss or damage results from our negligence.
9) Customer Vehicles/Property
Any vehicle or personal property left on Berkshire Classic Car Hire's premises is entirely at your own risk.
9) Customer Acceptance
By making a booking whether in writing, by telephone or email, the Customer agrees to these terms and conditions. The Hirer will be required to sign our standard Hire Agreement form.
